Gizem is a game designer who builds game economies and systems. A career contributing to 50M+ downloads was invisible inside template portfolios. She needed to face studios with a site that itself behaves like the thing she designs — a system.

I derived the art direction from Gizem's own discipline: acid green on black, blueprint grids, wireframe 3D geometry and a data-visualization aesthetic. Around the manifesto 'I turn small inspiring ideas into systems' I built a five-page structure: home, about, case studies, achievements and creative works. The site is hand-coded HTML/CSS/JS — no framework — with scroll-triggered reveal choreography, counters and marquee ribbons.

01

Discovery & Content Architecture

A content map built from Gizem's CV, game list and goals: which work lives on which page, which number speaks where.

02

Art Direction

Acid green + black palette, terminal/blueprint texture, wireframe geometry. The aesthetic of a game designer's working documents, brought to the web.

03

Design System

A tokenized color/type system in a single CSS file; reusable patterns for cards, ribbons, counters and labels.

04

Build & Motion

A framework-free, light and fast site; reveal choreography via IntersectionObserver, hover micro-interactions, marquees.

A visual language that explains a 'systems designer' — the portfolio reads like a game-economy document

Structuring a scattered 80+ game career into featured work plus a hyper-casual archive

A modern motion feel without a framework — reveal and counter choreography with zero dependencies

What This Project Taught Me

The strongest art direction comes from inside the client's own craft. Gizem's site wasn't designed to look pretty — it was designed to think like her.

A high-personality portfolio ready to send to studios: the numbers (5+ years, 80+ games, 50M+ downloads) speak on the first screen, and the case studies explain design decisions in systems language.
